Unfortunately the site owners got bored of the whole game, because I am sure there is enough ammo floating around even today. On the flip side, we generally don't tout some of the queries that come from the US. Well, here's breaking tradition then:) --------------------------- Dear MT Company, My name is Chung Hu. I am interested in starting a MT company here in the US. I would like to find a Transcription company in India where I can contract out local jobs. I have came across your company's information through MTIndia.org. The information listed is very impressive, but I have a few more questions regarding your services that I hope you could share with me. - Where are you located? - How many years of experience does your company have? - What are your working/production hours? - What is the current capacity? - Can you meet higher demands? If so, how many more lines/month? - What software do you use for transcription? - Will I be able to provide feedback to the MT in order to improve on the quality of the reports? - How are your MT's trained? - What are the experience levels of the MT's? - What are the work environments of the MT's? - Do you have a preference on the type of medical transcription? - What is the typical turn around time? - What is the Accuracy of the Transcription? - How much do you charge per line? - Do you provide a trial period for the clients? - What type of Internet connection do you provide for voice file download? - What is your connection bandwidth? - Please tell me more about measures that you have taken to provide patient confidentiality and security (Encryptions,physical/software server security, work station security, etc). - Do you have back up plans in case of a major disaster (for example, lost of power, earth quake, flood, war etc)? I apologize for the lengthy questions, but I really would like to learn more about your operations. Please don't hesitate to contact me. Best wishes, Chung Hu

[MODERATOR COMMENT] Dear Chung, It is nice to see that you have done extensive research on the web even before venturing to start your own MT Company. It is truly demonstrative of the US spirit of doing business. I am confident that our corporate members will be able to give you satisfactory contingency plans on mundane matters like earth quakes, floods, wars etc. I would however like to make you privy to the latest in security measures taken by the powers that be especially in MT units employing over 500 people. The air conditioning vents have now been fitted with gas dispensers, which will spring to action the moment the managers can identify >10 unidentified/masked men/women barge in with suspicous looking packages strapped onto their bodies. These gases are safe mixtures routinely used to induce general anaesthesia. Unconfirmed reports say that there are traces of nerve agents added, which cause instantaneous motor paralysis such that in no event shall private medical records fall into wrong hands. The scientists however could not reach a consensus, as to when MTs who had been exposed to such agents would be fit enough to transcribe again. But as it goes "ours not to reason why, ours but to do or..." I hope with this latest insight into Indian MT Companies security policies you have a good nights sleep! At your service, as always! Amit C. --------------------------------------- Ok friends, here is another one... --------------------------------------- Company Name : Advanced Medical Transcribing Contact Person : Dr. Edmound Pasimio Address : 801 S Charleston City : Las Vegas State : NV ZipCode : 89106 Country : USA Phone : 7025551212 Email :

Dear Sir: We are currently looking to establish a working relationship with a select few medical transcribing companies in India. I am confident by considering this proposal we can effectively reduce down you overhead and by doing so increase your net profits. Please do not call at this point, I have worked with some companies before and was swamped with calls. Would like the option to qualify prospects. Thank You for your understanding. Dr. Edward Pasimio, M.D. -------------------------------- And here is the response from one of our corporate members:).... ------------------------------- Hi Amit..and dear all those who respond.. Let's not debase ourselves and entertain such requests. I do not understand why we entertain such folks. They do not have the courtesy to provide the right information and expect companies from India to sell their souls to these unscrupulous so called docs.. The number listed below for your information, is 555 1212, any simpleton knows that this is a tel enquiry listing phone number..for the local areas. Lets please entertain only serious folks and not just people who are fishing for information..and have the audacity to mention that they are swarmed with calls..maybe this "doctor" works at the telephone company???. ---------------------------- I am reserving a few of these howlers for next time:) Cheers, Amit C. > Subject: In response to ProfMedicalTrans Esteemed: Major Amit Chatterjee: Why are we so heavily prosecuted by MTIndia.org? Does not every coin have two sides? It was once said by a not so famous American poet that greed is the enemy of reason in man. So is the case of the wrongful claims of the accusers presented against myself and the company I am associated with. I am writing to you in response to these accusations within the forum by which they were levied so that the truth may prevail. I submit for your review and consideration and the members of the transcription industry of India words and actions filled with deceit and lies by individuals of a select few, possibly many more. Yes, it is true we have legitimate disputes with one or two companies but we are a very large corporation dealing with many companies. As a medical transcription company in the USA, I placed my trust, financial resources, time, reputation on the line with out-sourcing companies in India to provide medical transcription services, companies which promised Quality, Accuracy TAT like many other companies in my position have and continue to do so. In fact in time, this was not the case with the ones that cried the loudest with their comments against us. These where the companies proclaiming in writing 99% accuracy and 24 turn around times but returned work well below these levels. We placed our trust and pronounced our loyalty only to be misled. I have grown to learn first hand this is not an isolated case. are my words of truth or lies. It is a fact that many out-sourcing companies in your country make false claims intentionally and I believe in some case unintentionally to try very hard to get up to standards to keep a lucrative business relationship that can make the difference of staying in business or failing. Allow me to explain what happens to US companies when work that was promised is not delivered, contracts are lost, amounts representing sums in some case exceeding $100,000.00 US dollars or more. In addition, most importantly, one's reputation. Customers become disgruntle and "begin to slow pay" and than dispute their bill and stop paying all together. In particular of one company's service, the work was so bad it was quoted by one doctor in the US of Indian decent as" it looks like a school child did the work" When a company claims on thing to their product and deliveries something very different in America this is called fraud, what is it called in your country? What recourse do we have? How do we go back to that company and say please give us the value of the contracts lost due to your deficiencies, false promises and excuses? Do you believe that this has not happened before to MANY US companies as well? We continue to have business relationships with several companies in India from the time of our inception, with no payments in arranges, ones that delivered what was promised. The truth of the situation is of equal disappointment in terms of not only dollars but also trust and the harsh reality that some companies just should not be in the transcribing industry at all. There is a flaw in the system between US based transcribing companies and India based out-sourcing companies of which continues to this day expand in a most regrettable way. ProfMedicalTrans [MODERATOR COMMENT] Dear ProfMedicalTrans, We are a neutral media and stick to facts. Your methods of doing business are unprofessional, to say the least. The fact of the case is that you were doing business without a signed contract, and you are taking advantage of this to raise ambiguous issues which have got nothing to do with the contended dispute regarding non-payment for services rendered. Also, I suggest you refer to your lawyers about what is fraud as per US laws. The case is subjudice, and our only interest is in seeing justice done. > Subject : Business Owner Responsibility How long have you been running a business, PMT? It is your responsibility as the BO to test the company, check references and maintain quality assurance and to do so on an ongoing basis. If the subcontractor doesn't meet standards or consistently fails to meet the standards, it's your repsonsibility to cut them loose or renegotiate the contract. There is also a saying here in America: "Let the buyer beware." Anyone who trusts promises and takes them at face value is a fool. I don't care where my contractors and subcontractors are located - I check their work because the client only knows who I am. I'd be embarrassed to admit to the poor business practices you've detailed in this letter. Elaine Comment?

> Subject: C'Bay Dear Amit & MTIDers, This is in response to Sanal Kumar's enquiry about C'Bay Systems. I got trained from one of the C'Bay's center in Trivandrum, Kerala. The training was fantastic, but they were not prompt in providing the work, and I really spoiled my career there for 2 years, because we were having a bond. Now, I am working with Alpha Systems, coimbatore for the last one year with real job satisfaction and good money. One thing, the training they gave us made me capable to get the job at 4 companies, including Alpha Systems, which I ultimately chose for work. I know 2 other friends who were working at different centers of C'Bay and now working with me. They also had the same experience. So please think about it, With Love Troy Mathew ++++ new post - different topic ++++ From: Kishore <

> Subject: Future of MT Dear Amit, This is to all depressed MTs: Usually people who give the brickbats, in any industry, are bad for people when actually they are those who love them. Anger is a form of hidden love. You understand this and see where you land up in your company. You may not be promoted. You will definitely get at least a part of what you deserved. Any company provides service and it does not matter to the owner/s of the company from whom in the company the work gets done until it is getting done. So if you have contributed, be loud and clear to speak what you have contributed (even if the manager gets angry at you initially and thinks that you think that he has not cared for you). Then go home and sleep. Probably the very next day or after a few days you will see the reverse swing. Kishore JS MT HeartlandBangalore Comment?
